Who Am I ?

I am a simple himachali girl trying to learn the “if’s and but’s” of the culinary world. Having lived most of my life in Delhi, I am no stranger to those yummy street side foods of Chandani Chowk or those yummy punjabi dhabas. But you know what ?!

My love for food was always restricted to hogging food. It was only after my marriage that the cooking bug in me really started to show its true color. I am married into a Rajasthani Rajput family and boy – “Do they love their food ?” So here I am starting my food journey from the city of love, pubs and garden (Bengaluru).

Why Blog ?

Meet my hubby Kunal who if you ask ,”Who is your first love ?” The only answer you will get is “Food”. He is completely obsessed by Culinary Geniuses like Heston Blumenthal & Gordon Ramsay and treats my kitchen as Food lab. His constant nagging about “the need to share food knowledge” has finally made me start this blog yummy diaries. I absolutely love that decision. Food Blogging has not only helped me hone my culinary skills but has also brought me close to different people, culture and traditions. 

Coming back to Kunal – he is also the in-house technician who has helped me setup this blog which has enabled me to connect with you wonderful people. Recently his new born passion is food photography. He is drawn into food photography as it is challenging and requires excellent composition, unique lighting skills, style and improvisation.

What We Intend To Achieve ?

When it comes to cooking, I’m a food enthusiast with an appetite for almost anything. I love to cook vegetarian dishes, because I am a vegan but not to worry , I have my hubby for all the meaty delights as he is a hardcore carnivorous :). I love street/dhaba food & desserts, especially infused with dark chocolate. I try to cook things that are practical, have simple ingredients and are delicious. I have a special place in my heart for baked delicacies, curries, pastas. What am I saying ? I love it all.  

Last few years have been exciting in terms of getting to know food, socialising with India’s leading influential food bloggers & preparing some lip smacking dishes. Now it’s time to share what we have learned and in-turn learn from you all. Hence via Yummy Diaries, we look to achieve the following:

To satisfy my culinary traveling and cooking learning needs, I intend to travel across the country from vibrant cities to remote villages and learn the taste of real India. My moto is to bring back the authentic taste & flavor of india on to the plate.

To create tasty recipes that are perfect year round and are sure to impress your friends and family. Nothing like creating treats that can accompany our chit-chatter and gossip sessions.

Healthy Recipes

To promote healthy living, learn the art of creating delicious healthy meals; from hearty breakfasts to light salads to sweet treats. My moto is to create simple recipes to help you eat nutritious and delicious food. Recipes full of protein, fiber, and healthy carbs.
